Alright, so, I had my 6 month mark last week.  I really haven't seen a whole lot of changes.  I mean, I work out a little every now and then, and I've put on 10 lbs in the last 6 months, but all of my pants are falling off, so it's got to be muscle.  I have thigh hair now (which I never had before), stomach hair, chest hair has started.  I've got dark hairs that do grow all over my cheeks, chin, and upper lip.  They aren't that coarse, although I can tell once they get there that I'm going to be a hairy buggar ... and my voice has changed enough for people who knew me before to see a big difference.  But two people I know who started T at around the same time I did, have much lower voices, even though one started from a much higher/nasalier place than I did. The dr said my levels are right where they need to be.  But I haven't seen much genital growth, and I'm kind of concerned with that.  I hear that usually after the first month, your growth is much slower.

I have an appointment with my endo on the 26th.  Should I discuss a dosage change?  Should I ask for the actual numbers on my t levels?  DHT cream?  Obviously I'm never going to get 8 inches out of this ... or 5 for that matter, but I'd like to get the most I can out of my body.

I start a new job on the 7th (I've been out of work since the 23rd) which pays almost 2 dollars an hour more than the job I had ... so there's no way I won't be able to afford a gym membership (FINALLY ... I can lose fat and put on muscle!)!!!!

congrats man, since your worried about your voice you should look at your family. do your brothers or other male relatives have deep voices? that sort of thing. also some people dont get alot or any down stairs growth.

No brothers .... and I don't really know ... I'd have to actually think about it when I'm around my dad.

At 6 months I had barely any visible changes... voice dropped at 3 months, slight fat redistribution plus a few other minor things. I had my dose doubled at that point and then started noticing changes more frequently. So yeah, if you feel you're going at a slow rate you should talk about raising your dose.

However, I'm a year on T now and my voice is higher than my friend who's about 5 months and also started with a much higher voice. He also has facial hair and I don't.

Surmise to say.... your milage may vary.

You can't look at other peoples' changes versus your own because of the fact that their genes =/= your genes.  The way their body metabolizes T doesn't do it in the exact same way.  Everyone is going to change differently.   Don't let other peoples' changes worry you.  Some guys don't experiences certain changes until far later than other guys.

I don't remember having much, if any, growth down there until I hit about the 8-month mark. Then I had pain, burning, etc as it grew for the next 2 months... and then it stopped. It definitely wasn't the fact that no changes started until 8 months--- I had facial hair coming in at 3-4 weeks, voice changed at 1 month (and kept changing)--- I just didn't have any downstairs growth until then. Everyone, as others have said, progresses in a different manner on T. It all depends on your own individual body chemistry. I'm going on 3 years now on T, and I'm still seeing new body hair every day. It's a long process, just as puberty is in natal males.

I heard that T can take up to 7 years for full effect. That sounds like puberty to me.
