There is also dad's favorite picture book, titled, "Mr. Seahorse." It represents what makes this otherwise typical Valley family very different.
"The book is a great tool for us to introduce to the children, explaining that I gave birth to them because the male seahorse gives birth to its babies," said 34 year-old Thomas Beatie, sitting in his north Phoenix home.
During a recent interview with 12 News, Beatie spoon-fed pureed vegetables to his one year-old son Jensen and discussed his family's move to Arizona last year.
