First of hello to all of you at Susan's place. I have been following the site on and off for about 8 years. I am pre-op and have yet to start hormones and am currently out of the closet to a very select few, as I am mainly in stealth and have been trying desperately to save enough money to even start the process. The area where I live and work is not incredibly up to date and prejudices of all kinds tend to run pretty hot up here. Upon the strong urging of one of my best friends I decided to sign up here at these forums as she believed I am in desperate need of a support group. I have tried since a very young age to mix in with society and follow preconceived societal conditioning in connection with (I use the following term very loosely) "gender traits" that are believed to be present in an individual at birth in connection with their genetic sex. Needless to say it can be done but I am mentally burnt with the effort of living a dual life for the past x amount of years. So it is comforting to find a place where so many of us gather and share some information and just communicate with one another.  Thank you all for being here.
