How to make a sex-cache (without panty hose)

Ok I have searched the site and saw the wiki.  I want to make i.e. sew my own sex-cache (gaff).  The ones you buy are to expensive.  I don't want to ruin a perfectly good pair of hose making one like in the wiki.  Does anyone know how to or where I can find instructions on making one.  I have to a limited success made one but the bulge is still present.  I want smooth when I'm wearing my swim suit and etc. but.....

Don't think of it as "ruining a perfectly good pair of hose", think of it as creating a functional gaff.

Although, I've had a thought in my head about combining the gaff and elements from a corset...the "bones" of corset technology will probably be better at confining unwanted bits.
