Hi all from Perth, Australia

Hi everyone, my name is Jack and Im from Perth, Australia. Im a transitioning Ftm living as a full-time dude. My story is fairly textbook: Wanted to be a boy when I was five, did boy things, everyone thought I was a tomboy and it was a 'phase' I would grow out of, but I never did. I told my parents when I was 16. I started T hormone therapy when I was 19 but I have been on the 'hard stuff' for one year now. I am a guy in my job and I am passable to the public. I plan on getting bottom surgery when I can afford it and top surgery as soon as possible (although it's not top priority cause my boobs shrunk considerably on T and they are tiny but still there however).
I have changed my name legally. My parents are trying to remember to use male pronouns but often forget in public (much to the confusion of everyone). I just laugh and go "it's a joke my parents play-calling me a girl-ya know" ha ha ha *awkward silence... anyway, I have experienced pretty much everything so if anyone needs to ask questions etc, don't hesitate to email or message or what ever people do on the intraweb nowadays
Cheers
Cindy

Good evening Jack and welcome. I am in Hobart myself.
It sounds like things are going pretty well for you, good to hear a good news story.
Hope you have a good time here.
Karen.

Hijack! Oh, I love saying that. It's nice to meet you! My story isn't quite so textbook. You see, I'm not from Australia. I know, I know, it sounds crazy. I am working on Honorary Citizenship, though. See you around, hugs, Devlyn

Hello Jack,
A big Sydney welcome to Susan's. I'm sure you will like it here. Perth is such a wonderful city. I love it. I was amazed when I was over there last year, just how fast your trains go. I checked the speed of one I was on from Mandurah at over 138 kph. "Struth." We are still using bullock drays over here. The State Gov. has gone broke and we can't afford any new toys.
I'm pleased you have settled into your new life as well as you have. You appear to be well balanced and grounded in your outlook. It does a lot for your confidence and self esteem to be accepted in public and by your parents and friends. It's funny how sensitive your confidence can get though. I was clocked by a 5 year old in Bunnings this afternoon. "Mummy? What's THAT man doing over there?" Mummy was in a rush and I don't think it tweaked with her. LOL
Keep in touch and let us know how you are coping. In the meantime, be safe, well and happy.
Lotsa huggs
Catherine
