State of Grace

You can call me Grace  :)

I'm happy to be the best friend of an awesome transgender woman, and I might as well admit I've been in love with her the whole time I've known her, because I've been told that shines clearly thru whenever I speak of her.

I've known her almost two years, and I found this forum when she told me she's transgender, about two weeks after meeting her.  I've had a login here almost a year, but never posted, just read thru your significant others' posts with admiration, inspiration, frustration, jealousy, hope...

Her privacy is important, but she's not secretive about what she is and will become.  I'm so proud of her and would tell the whole world how I feel.

I've never met someone with so many obstacles to overcome, and she's not in any position to begin her transition now.  I know she is so frustrated by her male appearance, and she enjoys my care packages with girly items.

Anyway, we manage to laugh, cry & work thru all the little things life throws at us.  I'd love to tackle the big things together, be her girlfriend, build all kinds of dreams...  and I've been vocal about those hopes & wishes.  She deserves so much, and I'd like sticking around for it all.

Here's my only poem I've ever written, for my beautiful BFF (posted on our social networks with an illustration of her beautiful female appearance in the mirror – she likes my photo editing skills)

Someday, pretty girl
A glance in your mirror
Will always bring a smile

That day and always
I'll stand beside you
Ready with hugs & twirls

My happiness
Rivaled only by yours
As I watch you sparkle

Ready finally to dance
Your outer beauty matching
The love & beauty I've always seen
