Omg I want a pet skunk naooooooo. Go youtube "pet skunk" and see how fluffy they are. :3 Apparently they make good pets, especially after their scent gland is removed. Not many ppl have them. >.<

I can put that on my list of things to do when I'm old. "Become reputable skunk breeder" ;D

What does one do with a pet Skunk?

I'm not a fan of crippling wild animals to make pets from them
Even removing something unwanted from dogs and cats

I don't think you have to worry about getting mugged while you're walking your skunk! Hugs, Devlyn

Pet them! :D They're like cats I guess, because you can keep them indoors. And also they're rly playful and curious and friendly. :3

I would argue that spaying and neutering is also crippling, which btw is a big list of pet owners. Also it wouldn't be a wild animal it would be domesticated. Plus they normally won't spray you anyways unless they're stressed lolz so I guess you could live without their operation, but....... >.<

Find someone else with a pet skunk and watch in amusement as your skunk suddenly takes on a French accent and spends an inordinate amount of time on hairbrained yet charming and very sweet schemes in an attempt to woo it.

Are you seriously, considering, a pet skunk? If you are, please, take some time and do some research.

I have owned, bred, and rescued, many smaller exotic mammals and birds, over the years. I have NO personal experience, with, pet skunks. But, I do know, many, are available via rescues. Though, I would recommend, a first time skunk owner, get a baby, from a breeder.

If you want, I can post some links, on care of a pet skunk and some "good" breeders. Also, if, you are in the USA, skunks are NOT always legal. Even if captive breed.

You might look into getting a ferret. I understand they have some of the same characteristics but they are considered domesticated, which would make your life easier.

Sounds like it would be fun to visit people without telling them the scent glands have been removed!  >:-)

My mom had a pet skunk when she was young  :)  She said that they are much like a cat but a bit different... Very clean, playful and affectionate animals
