Hi everyone,

My name is Serena and I make my home in Canada's capital city of Ottawa.  I've been to this site a number of times due to specific Google searches and this time I decided it would be a wise decision to register.  Now registered I am thinking the next step was to introduce myself and greet everyone.  :)

I look forward to spending more time here.

Cheers,
+ Serena

Hi Serena, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 8343 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

Thank you for the warm welcome, such a wonderful place here!

To elaborate, my story resembles so many other's that there is not much need to rehash it here but that is principally because I find it uncomfortable talking about myself (I blame the "suck it up and be man" mentality I was surrounded by growing up.)  So, I've kept myself hidden behind a wall of sarcasm and humour because if I didn't do that I would be alone with my thoughts and they don't make the best company to keep.

I am now, finally, after 37 years of walking this earth in a complete daze, taking my first real steps.  I am meeting with a gender therapist October 1 and I can't wait to finally begin unburdening my soul of the baggage that I've picked up and left to clutter my spirit.

So, again, thank you for being welcoming, I really needed to feel welcomed somewhere.

hi serenarheaume,

Welcome. I am just a few hours drive along the MacDonald Cartier Freeway/401 near the Provincial Capital of Toronto (in Vancouver people say sorry to hear that lol). Good luck with the therapist to get rid of the clutter and start living your real life. I hope to get started in a year.
