So I came out to my mom about a month after i started hrt, and just told her I was taking it since she knew I was keeping something from her. I don't live with her so she had a lot of unanswered questions because I support of said momI'mtakingestrogenandantoandrogen ok bye! And left it at that. Anyway, this Christmas I wrote her a  short winded yet reassuring Christmas card, explaining my reasoning behind  my transitioning.

Her response was lovely:

"I need to learn more"

She requested that i send her links and literature about gender dysphoria, and seemed genuinely intrigued at the possibility of one feeling out off plant in their own gender. she's happy that I'm doing what makes me happy and even told me

"I always wished I had a Belizian girl"

And proceeded to offer me makeup and eyebrow shaping tips...

I love my mom, and only wish my experience with my mother was the norm... It makes me weep to see other people be rejected by misunderstanding parents.

And i hate writing on my phone so pardon any typos

That's really great to hear, hon. Your mom sounds like an awesome lady. :) I'm glad she reacted the way she did.
