So the other day everyone at my work went out for lunch. An emergency happened where I needed to go back to the office to fix a problem with a client. I had to drive up with my boss and the HR person (his fiance) and we were commenting about a fellow employee who was hitting on the new HR person. That got the ball rolling and they turned to me and asked me why I never had any dating stories or anything. I tried brushing it off when the HR person asked me if I was gay. Not in a derogitory or demeaning way, but a curious way. I said no, of course, but it got me thinking about what their reaction is going to be when I tell them about being TS. From the way she asked the question so non-shalantly, it seems as though they may not have too much of a problem with it.
Actually, one of the employees that quit about a year ago was a lesbian so I already know that they are tolerant of homosexuality. Hopefully that extends to TS as well. At least it's a glimmer of hope.
