Hi i know this topic may be crazy but i wanted to see if anyone else may have had this problem. I contracted an std(gonorrhea). Yes i know embarassing to discuss. I have tried. Several times to combat this problem but the symptoms still persist. Recently in Feb i noticed the return of prominent veins as well as some manly features. I have been on hrt since june of. 2011 up until this incident i had became very comfortable with my self, for the firsrt time in my life i was confident with my self. Well since february i have been dealing with this defeminzation and i know its the std i have had bloodwork done ct scan nd xray everything came back normal. So now i dont know where to turn i am still trying my best to get the infection cured in order for my hormones to start back working correctly again i know this sounds crazy but i have researched the internet for weeks searching for someone who may. Have encountered the same problem i have. Now i have just about giving up everyone makes mistakes but i never knew this would have such a big impact on my health. I pray to god that this will be cured. And everything returns to normal. I just dont know but this all started with this infection. I just wish this was a dream and i would wake up because i miss my feminine body now i dont go anywhere anymore in fear of not passing. I wish someone could help me.

Hi Gab  :icon_wave:

Welcome to Susan's   :)   I am not a medical practitioner nor have I had gonorrhea, but as far as I understand gonorrhea is fairly easy to cure with the proper antibiotics and should not interfere with your HRT

The best recommendation I can give is to consult your Dr. and if a break in your HRT regimen is necessary then do so

Curing the STD should take prominence and anything else should be secondary

Never heard of anyone getting a ct scan or x-ray for gonorrhea

Please be sure to review

Hi

Could be any number of details with out kinowing all the facts i would not be able to say much .

what i will say is this will depend on the meds  you are takeing  HRT, type & dose rate & how many in the mix ,

the other  meds you are takeing again   type & dose rate,

Now im not saying this is happening ,  though does with many meds iv worked with over many years will interact with each other & say youv been takeing one for say at least 6 to  9 months & you start takeing another one it could effect the first one & in some detail over ride the first one hence you have an interaction .

There could be an interaction in your body that will not allow your body to use the meds & will not  work & the body rejects those meds, ,

Allso there is  a difference between men &  women as to how some meds work or dont  , okay it starts to get more complecated so ill stop here,

Allso your body can mutate & change meds that can shut down certain functions that work normaly .

Most STD's can normaly be cleared up with antiboicts  , allso could be something else.   a blood test would or a swob may show something ,

sorry i cant help more . though if you wont to email me please do, oh . when was the last time you had a blood test . say   just after you contracted STD's, & when before
