A botched blood test just now.. Agh

Ok, things can get really tricky for me. 8 days ago, on monday, I had blood taken for preliminary tests, in preparation for turbine surgery during the summer. Yesterday I was called telling me that the blood had coagulated partially and they needed to make an extraction again on thursday.


So, what's the issue? I had been on antiandrogens for some time, and on the First of May (After the blood extraction) I started a low dosage of Estradiol. The blood test is not supposed to search for hormone levels, but now I'm rather worried. Do you think something weird can appear on them? Obviously, stopping the pill it's not going to fix anything now.

I just got the results. Looks like the coagulation test could not be done on the first try. The results say that I'm low on some sort of "enzime" (?) needed for waking up from full sedation. Which luckily, I only need partial.



The only problem is that I will be called one week in advance to do the surgery (which does not have an specified date). Will this be enough to stop the HRT before it? I'm in a really low dosage, but you can't play with estradiol and blood clotting.

You need the advice of your treating medics. Ask them, no one else can give you the answer
