Just to thank you all for your company this far. I'm about to jump on a plane to go for MDL phalloplasty. As you can imagine, I'm somewhere between anxious to exhilarated. After a lot of saving and research, blood, sweat and tears, the day's arrived.
I've found the support here at Susan's not just affirming, but beyond. I have felt true care and at times, have been moved to tears by tragedy, and overjoyed, inspired and moved by your stories.
Here's mine:

Without that mantra, I don't think I'd have shaken off trauma for waking up in hospital after a horrific incident mangled. This is not a story about despair. Quite the opposite, though there were moments of despair. This is my story and that's one about dusting your knees after a fall, and rising from the ashes. Love, Spirit, and knowing Forgiveness whilst being held by the arms of a Higher Love was how I healed.
And - I get a bionic schlong,
I'm not going to be ashamed of that, I'm going to *own* this. That means taking delight in discovering sexual partnership, bionically.
I'll be on the operating table in about 48 hours. I've seen the work from the Foundation I'm having that done and there's a reasonably organic look to the work.
