I'm Emily. I'm 24 (soon to be 25), living in So Cal. Just discovered this site yesterday and it's been extremely helpful so far. I'm considering transition (m2f) and just started seeing a psychiatrist and therapist. I came out to one of my best friends yesterday, now I'm trying to figure out how to come out to my parents. My therapist wants me to come out first and attend a few more sessions before scheduling an appointment with my doctor for HRT. Thought I'd join the site to get some support and talk to others that are in the process :)

Big warm welcome Emily! I know you will love it here because we are all family. You will get a vast supply of information, fun and stories from those who have done it all. I find myself spending a good amount of time here and have made good friends so easy because most of our situations and stories are all the same. Just be honest with us and yourself and don't be afraid to ask for help or just vent. We all care and take care of each other. BIG HUG!  :)

Susan's is probably THE best community site that I have found. The people here are simply fantastic, and the support is amazing. I hope you'll find it as comfortable as I do, and enjoy your time here!

Welcome to our little family. Over 8007 members. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.
