I have a question re: areolas six weeks after surgery (or so). They are healing nicely, no problem. I think I have a couple stitches on each one which are of the dissolving sort. They feel rather hard and I was wondering if there is another scab that peels off after a certain point or if they soften up.

I hope my question is clear, if not I can try again. :)

Mine were done peeling by then, but I think that we are all very different.  It was around that time that stitches were growing out from the nipple, like you.  I just snipped them and they eventually dissolved.

The sutures are dissolving. Might have 1-2 on each nipple. It sure feels like they have a ways to go, but they are looking good.
Nipple is a funny word (just saying).

Okay wise guy Alex!!! :D
Maybe I'm just not used to them. Obviously they don't have much in the way of feeling or anything.
