Name and gender change in FL?? Help!!

I'm looking to do a name change and gender change in FL but I'm originally from Michigan. Do I have to file papers Michigan or can I file them here in Fl? Has anyone who lives in Fl done this?

That's hard to say? Name change you can from what I'm told. But gender change that's hard to say

I just read somewhere I can do my name change here in FL and then send papers to MI to update any records there.

It depends on what state you are currently a legal resident of.  A Florida court order for name change should be valid in MI but gender marker change depends on what (MI for birth cert, FL driver's license?)
