I feel like this is the fifth time this story has been posted (though the first where the name of the person has been mentioned).
Am I wrong and the Canadian border guards are really overzealous?
I refuse to live in fear! Come hell or high water I will not back down! I will live my life!
But you have no life.
Ha. Even that won't stop me.

I will protect even those I hate, so long as it is right.

Yes this one has been around the block a few times. As for the content, well, gate keepers are, after all, gate keepers. Still, that does not excuse the "treatment" afforded her by the gaol. She was transferred to a womens' prison after an online campaign. Here are a couple of follow-ups:

She just filed the complaints last week, so the story is making its rounds again.
"Choosing to be true to one's self — despite challenges that may come with the journey — is an integral part of realizing not just one's own potential, but of realizing the true nature of our collective human spirit. This spirit is what makes us who we are, and by following that spirit as it manifests outwardly, and inwardly, you are benefiting us all." -Andrew WK

That is sad. I have been to that airport a few times and had nothing but positive and respectful experiences, but perhaps it would have been different if they saw documentation that indicated my history.
