HRT and Facial Hair. How much loss, i have special circumstances....

I'm wonder if anyone knows how much loss or thinning i can expect on my face from long term hormones.    Alot of my hair was brand new or peach fuzz when i started hrt(at 28 even).   Even then most of it was already blonde and on the sides i can put off shaving for a day or more before its noticeable under my foundation.     Anyways, since most of my hair is blonde i can really only do electro but there just isnt any available(not that i can afford for a while).  Pass ability isn't really a problem if i shave regularly since its like 85% blonde.   Also i plucked early a bunch of hair from my upper lip and chin.  About 25% didnt grow back and 80% came back blonde and much thinner. 

Has anyone gone the distance with HRT without doing laser/electro?  What kind of hair loss can i expect since im pretty much locked into electro?  Should i consider waxing what i have which is very thin and mostly blonde?  The only real black hairs i have is under my jaw.    Im 6months hormones and most chest hair is gone. and im at full dose now.

Rare that HRT really does anything significant to facial hair except slow down hair growth unless you start very early on, say, during your puberty.

Well, thats the thing, im 28 now, and things were a bit delayed for me, im unsure why and cant really afford to investigate.  but long story short is, I kind of went through like some kind of half puberty in my teenage years, but never really got body hair, it never really started coming in till i was about 25 at all, even pre hrt it was pretty thin.  (and at 25 i could shave and look like i never grew facial hair at all, and not have to shave for 2 weeks ish.)

Take it as a blessing, as said HRT could slow face hair growth but will not make it go away.

I used to only have facial hair around the mouth. Most of the thicker hairs on my upper lip and chin fell out a few months on HRT. Hairs did continue to grow but they were more finer than before. Not many now grow and those that do make an appearance are being zapped by laser.

Does anyone have experience with waxing?  I still really want to wax it but im scared lol.   Wondering if some will disappear or at least be very very fine on regrowth?   Im basically stuck with electrolysis and right now that isnt going to be an option for a couple months.  I'm just sooo sick of shaving which is ruining my skin.  Also wondering, if i wax how long until it grows back in?

I had my beard waxed a few times. It is very painful! Especially the first time.

I only got a couple of weeks (if that) before hairs that weren't growing at the time of the waxing started sprouting. It was not a very effective method. What's more it can also cause problems with ingrown hairs and (so I believe) distort the shape of the follicle making future electrolysis potentially problematic. Personally I wouldn't recommend it.

There's really no easy way out. There are home electrolysis units you can buy on Amazon for like $30-40. Reviews seem to show they work somewhat and with dedication. But I personally decided against it because its my face... and someone who actually knows what they're doing should be zapping me. Scarring seems to be a recurring theme in the bad Amazon reviews and that is terrifying to me.

The problem with home electrolysis on your face is actually being able to effectively place the probe in the follicle at optimum angles. Remember, your prolly going to be using a flashlight and compact, or other mirror your gonna be holding in one of your hands, while the other is holding the probe trying to correctly place it from a 45 to 90(depending on how your hair grows) degree angle to a 180 degree upside down angle probing upward. while it may look easy, these angles are in reality very awkward for the average individual to perform. To properly perform this, it takes practice and mistakes here are what causes most scarring from home use.

Ideally, if you have a friend who could assist you, your chances are better. But the above is why I strongly feel that having your electro professionally done is lways your best option, and for best results. It's your face, and, as someone who has facial scars she is very insecure and uptight about although they were not caused by home electro, I can attest facial scars aren't easy to hide nor fun to have. I would give anything to have the smooth lovely facial skin most girls here have. So be careful with this girls. You only have one face.
