Are there still any living - and visible - transwomen who transitioned in the late fifties/  sixties (i.e. Benjamin girls, or their contemporaries)?  They would of course be at least in their eighties by now, but I feel that there must be some living. Reading Benjamin's book it seems like transwomen were encouraged - if they could - to go stealth, become housewives and secretaries, and just disappear.  It would be interesting to have perspectives from some of these women.
