i should be happy for having had the surgery but I am completely upset.

I looked at the pictures of a girl's SRS result:
I am feeling completely devastated because my vagina does not seem correct and i dont understand with the shape of how my Doc has done mine! I feel like I should have gone to another doc altho I am not sure cos u might say its correct... that's why I am posting this here and not sure if i could upload a pic of my result I am now 3 weeks post op and it looks f####d up compared to the >-bleeped-< girl's result after only 14 days hers looks like a vagina and my hole just is shaped like another anus and the labia minor ends above the vagina hole! Above it!!!! And the clitoris if i think its what im looking at looks too high and nowhere near the hole it wont even get touched in intercouse if thats even possible now! ITS ALL SEEMS WRONG :( :'( WTF!!

Am i allowed to upload a pic of mine cos idk the rules? Can a few people here tell me what u think? Pls pls pls

I will upload it here on this thread in my next comment if it's ok? is that ok?

I would keep them private. Here they are public to the world.

I would also remove someone else's link if you have not asked permission.

When did you have surgery? I would think you'd have to give it time to heal properly first and that takes a few months.

My labia minora also do not cover the vaginal canal. It ends up above it and it only covers clitoris and urethra inside. I guess our doctors have similar technique but mine looks passable. Remember, all vaginas are different. However, theres always a labiaplasty if you feel like you need a retouch

had surgery on the 9th of december (this month)

and it just seems like the vaginal hole isn't like a vertical slit but just like a literal hole more horizontal and the part where the labia minoras meet above this hole keeps drooping down and so theres practically no hole there until i dilate which doesnt feel like i always imagined penetration to feel right (as in the angle seems wrong and too close to the anus, like im going to penetrate through the anus wall every time i put in the bigger dilator)  :'(

ty for all replies so far

It's probably way too soon to tell for sure, I've seen pics taken over a number of months and things really change. Who was your doctor if you don't mind me asking?

As Ms Grace said every doctor has there own techniques.

I would never judge mine on someone ease's picture and time stamp.

Most are not even close to any feasible time schedule.

Yes contrary to believed everything is not true on the internet.

3 weeks is early and it take almost a rear for it to really show its beauty.

Just saying.

u may be right but i still have to dilate and just feel it isn't right like i'm definitely going in the right hole but why isn't it a slit like vertical? i couldnt get in the dilator i was originally on and can't fit it in fully im scared i've lost depth already, i couldnt fit it in at all this morning and have had to downgrade. the vaginal hole and entire structure doesnt seem right.

and honestly i dont give a s###t if the whole world sees the pic cos u cant see my face u'd never b able to tell its just i dont wanna gross anyone out cos i have an infection still or some puss :(

Dilations require proper angles to start and change as to cross the PC muscle

Relaxing is critical.

The pc muscle will fight for many a month.

You need to find the zen.

thank u

dilating still scares me tho, and the fact that i cant fully fit in the wider dilator which is also longer than the thinner one might mean iv lost depth

iv emailed u btw

3 weeks is still super early, much too soon to tell what the final result will look like; Brassard warns not to even *guess* at the final result until 4 months (and for me it took 2+ years for things to settle down!).

You also might want to Google for pages with pictures of non-porn vulvas - there's a tremendous variation in cis female anatomy, even including a total lack of labia minora, and things like the clit location and vaginal introitus shape you describe sound perfectly normal. Also, penetration might just not match up with what you expected... imagination sometimes falls short of reality.

As I approach my SRS I have discussed with various surgeons the appearance. One issue which you raised was the shape of the entry to the vagina. I have looked at so many pics and bought some porn DVDs. The concensus from the surgeons that I have seen is that they cannot have a flap where the vagina entry point when the surgery is first done because we need to dialate, thus the more horizontal opening than vertical in many cases. This can be corrected after a month or so, but I undersatnd that so many of us just don't want any further cosmetic surgery in that area. I hope this helps in one concern.
When we first start our journey the perception and moral values all dramatically change in wonderment. As we evolve further it all becomes normal again but the journey has changed us forever.

2124abc, I think 3 weeks is a bit too early to notice. I can exchange pics with you to compare. I'm about 2 months post op now and it still looks like it's still healing and trying to tighten itself in place. I'll pm you my Email and you can see mine prior to 2 months.

Btw, who's your surgeon?
15 years on HRT and going, started at age 16.

agree! My vagina doesnt look like a vagina on its first 3-4weeks. Its more of a frankenstein vagina look. The labia minora is swollen and uneven and the skin on the lips of vaginal canal is wounded and colored redish and yellowish which made it look more disgusting.

My doctor showed me photos of post op vagina in time line view to show how it looks from 1sk week to 8weeks. He showed this to me prior to my surgery this is why I kinda have an idea already and prepared my mind that my vagina wont look good right when I see it after the surgery.

Just like what others said, wait and keep calm. When everything subsides you will appreciate your vagina more. And yeah, labiaplasty is always a choice in later months if needed.

I'm 6 months post-op. My VJ looks EXACTLY the way you describe.

A lot of the swelling has gone down, though, and unless my legs are wide open, the whole thing just looks like a slit. Someone would have to be fairly knowledgeable about vagina's to tell the difference.

But as has been said, if you don't like the way it looks, there are surgical options to improve it.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

To both Chinee & abc,

It's very early in your post op recovery phase to be concerned about shape, sizes and orientations.

This is major invasive surgery you've been through, AND it will take MANY months for the swellings to subside and ALL the internal modification to finally settle in to their correct place.

Even at the 12 month mark you should still be seeing changes occur.

Please don't compare you're outcomes with what you see on the Internet. You don't know what their circumstances were.

Regarding dilator sizes, you really shouldn't be going for the larger sizes until at least week 8 or later. There is a LOT of internal swelling that will take a LONG time to go down. Ice packs will help that.

And yes. It's natural. The larger the dilator the less depth you have. You need to remember the purpose of dilation is to ensure this "wound" doesn't close up AND to stretch the neo vagina. If dilation is done correctly you should not lose more than half an inch, when measured say at the 6 month mark.

When the swelling subsides, it will "seem" like you've lost depth, BUT in fact you haven't. It's just the swelling has subsided.

If you're still concerned, take some photos and email them to your surgeon for comment. They do have some duty of care, post operatively.

Huggs
