I started on T injections nearly 4 years ago.  The injections were intramuscular in the upper leg which, to my understanding, is fairly common if you're going the injection route.  I had issues with the IM injections being pretty painful at times (I think it was due to quite a bit of scar tissue buildup even though I was good about switching legs and injection locations).  At some point along the way, I began to dread shot day and managed to work myself into quite an aversion to the needles.  Thankfully, my wife offered to insert the needle for me every other week while I looked away and then I would inject the testosterone.

About six months ago at my last appointment, my doctor mentioned that there was a recent study in trans guys showing that the difference in T levels between guys doing IM and subcutaneous injections was negligible, so I switched to doing subcutaneous injections into my "love handles".  It has made a major difference for me, as the needles are significantly smaller and the injections are not at all painful comparatively speaking.  I was concerned that my T levels would drop somewhat, but I'm not due for testing of my levels quite yet.  I know it's purely anecdotal, but I've noticed quite an increase in body hair since switching to subcutaneous.

I was just curious to find out if anyone else had switched over to subcutaneous injections and how it worked out for you if you did?
