So, I accompanied my daughter on a school field trip down to Silicon Valley on Friday.  We'd fought the commute for two hours & then spent time at NASA/Ames trying to listen to a robotics engineer while army helicopters practiced outside (btw - NASA?  Apparently chock full of trans people).
Our last stop was The Computer Museum.  It was after lunch & we were both fatigued by that point.   And I was getting too many double-takes for my comfort (grrrr.  darn young techies...at least they were just curious glances & some smiles).    We walked in the entrance and this was directly in front of us spanning nearly two stories:
I said to my daughter, "Do you know who she is?"  She said no.  I said, "She's one of us" (sort of a code phrase, my daughter is trans, too).  And she said, "Cooo-oool.  Can we go in now?"
