"I still remember the day when I sat in my sons bedroom and told him that his 9-year-old friend Samuel was no longer a boy, but was now a girl named Sophia. My son C.J., didn't say much at first."

I wonder if this is just the first in a wave of "post-liberation" articles about life in a world where being trans is not considered strange.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

Well, it wouldn't be all that strange to CJ, since he's already gender non-conforming and has been debating with himself as to whether he thinks of himself as trans for quite a while.  His mother has been blogging about him on raisingmyrainbow.com for something like 3 years.

BTW, she wrote about this before, on her blog: When Your Child's Boy Friend Becomes Their Girl Friend
