Hi everyone!  :D

I'm very happy to say that after consulting with Dr. Cardenas, Dr. Spiegel, and Dr. Zukowski, I'm set to have FFS with Dr. Spiegel on May 26th (this upcoming Tuesday).  I'm getting these things done:

Forehead contouring with scalp advancement / browlift
Rhinoplasty
Lip lift + whitening
Trachea shave
Buccal fat pad excision
Mandible contouring

I'll be posting in this thread regularly about my experiences in Boston - posting pics of the recovery process as well ^.^

I'm out of surgery!  I'm actually not like super swollen at all and it still hasn't even been 72 hrs since I got out of surgery.  I'm completely off pain meds surprisingly.  Like including tylenol.  I have zero pain whatsoever.  My head is a tiny bit sore and when I move anything too fast my head reminds me to slow down.  but I've been doing really well.  and my mother's been taking really good care of me god bless her.  And yeah!  the postop appointment is on the third and then I leave back home the next day after that.  I'm reallllllly looking forward to the swelling going down enough for me to eat solid food again.  I could really use a gigantic box of mac and cheese tbh   :)

Everything (including operating room costs, etc) costed roughly 41k.  I'll post pics once I am a little more healed ^.^

8 days post op photos (still have pretty significant swelling but a lot of the changes are already apparent):

a few days post op photos:

Pre-ffs photos:

I'm really happy with the results from what I can see so far!  I'll be posting another updated image in a few weeks or so once the swelling has pretty much subsided (and when I'm a little more together).  My experience with Dr. Spiegel and his team was 10/10 A+ great and there were no hiccups or anything whatsoever.

Hi, I hope you're doing well, I'm about to book surgery with Dr. Spiegel for similar procedures as what you had done so I've been creeping your thread lol, hope you'll post some more updates and pictures soon! Are you pleased with your results and experience so far? Thank you for all the info you've already posted, it's been a big help! :)

I am really pleased with my results and experience so far!  It's been 3 weeks and my swelling is pretty much completely gone (obv there will be subtle changes after this but nothing drastic).  The stitches inside my mouth have completely dissolved and the scar under my nose is starting to become less noticeable as well as the surgical area of my hairline.  My nose is still slightly sore to the touch as is some parts of my jaw.  Other than that I feel completely comfortable and pain free.  These are pics of me (without makeup as usual) at 3 weeks post op:

Congrats! Excellent profile line, looks awesome and I like the sassy haircut. I'm very happy for you.

Were you at all considering the DrO/Deschamps-Braly route, and if so, how did you compare and contrast between them and Spiegel? I'm trying to learn more about the opportunities both surgeries have to offer, especially with respect to a forehead III. Am I correct in suspecting that Spiegel does a burr down to transparency of the sinus wall, followed by hydroxyapatite sculpting to a smooth convex surface?

Thank you,
Orangeskipper

I wasn't considering the DrO/Deschamps-Braly route at all!  So I can't really compare the surgeons.  The only other surgeons I was really considering were Dr. Z and Dr Cardenas.  Dr Spiegel did a burr down of my brow followed by sculpting the forehead to a smoother convex surface (I would assume with the material you mentioned although I'm not sure... that might be a question that you could ask him at a in person or econsult)

Here's my last photo update @ the 1 month mark!

At this point, the scar under my nose is still fairly visible/red but I can see that it's starting the whiten at the incision site.  The incision on my neck from the tracheal shave is still visibly red/is easily irritated by touch/clothing.  The incision on my hairline is still sort of red but it's also started to whiten.  I should note I've been using the Skinmedica recovery gel that they offer at Dr Spiegel's office in Chestnut Hill (I have not been using it on the neck incision).  The hair along my hairline has started growing back noticeably as well.  My nose is still sort of sensitive to touch and I am still doing massages on it twice daily.  My jaw is not sore at all anymore and seems to be healed completely and the swelling seems to be 98% gone!  The right section under my upper lip (down to my chin) is still 90% numb.  My forehead is not numb at all anymore.  My jaw is 20% numb at parts.  The top of my head is numb too but is starting to regain sensitivity.

You look great and I'm glad the healing is coming along :) Hope it continues to go well and the rest of the pain goes away
