Transgender Aged 6 competes in Girls cross country in WA

In todays Australia Heralsd Sun it was reported that a young 6 year old Transgender child has started at school as a girl in Western Australia and competed in a cross country race in a skirt being placed in fifth position. Now other parents are up in arms plus a Liberal WA Politician saying that this should not be allowed because a child of 6 is not in a position to make such a drastic decision and that the parents and the school should not have let this happen.

Well, should we be surprised?
As I read recently in an article in Autostraddle,  a comment that pointed out that when a Cisgender child knows their gender, that's fine.
But, when a Trans child states their gender, well they couldn't possibly know what they are talking about !!!!!
Am so fed up with ignorant , bigoted people in positions of power.
But then the bullies of this world always claw their way to the top of the pile.
Apologies, but really get angry.
