Hi to everyone here.

I'm Chloe I am 39 years old and have been self medicating for just over 2 years now. I have already taken the biggest step forward and I was put forward by my GP for further assessment, I already had a meeting with one of the Mental Health board team, which was like a pre assessment to see what it was I was looking for and possibly seeing what my goals are.

I have recently been contacted to have an assessment by one of the Doctors who is a specialist in this field however he is based in the West Midlands, however they have told me he is happy to come down and see me but because he no longer works with this department he is happy to progress my stage but he needs to contact me directly with a date and time.

Since taken the medication I have developed breasts which I now wear a sports bra, I am waiting now for permanent hair removal on my face and legs which are most important area for me. at present and It's a great feeling for me too start to feel feminine and now starting too look feminine too. However my breast are painful however my GP is now looking to see if he can give me alternative medication, rather than self medicate, however he is not fully trained in this area but he is happy to go on a new journey with me which benefit him just has much myself, but there is a female GP who has experience in this field and she is available at any time should I need her, which is really good.

So here I am peeps I am not shy and happy to find new friends in the same situation I am in and would love to hear from those that have more experience and any advice offered is greatly received

Love and respect to you all

Hi Chloe,

A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.

There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in start talking and ask any question you like. You're quite safe here and we are very accepting.

Good to hear you're putting a great plan together, especially giving away the self medication. Changing your body and brain chemistry is a very serious thing to do, especially without any supervision. Things can go horribly wrong very quickly. You need to respect your body.

Sore breast at this stage is quite normal. Shouldn't last more than a few months. Can still be bloody annoying though. One of the many joys of being a woman.

Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine

Big warm welcome to Susan's Chloe

Glad you are moving away from self medding  :eusa_clap:, so risky, HRT medications are powerful drugs and can bring on all sorts of problems if not administered and monitored correctly.

Happy that you have found us and please use and ask anything you need to, the experience here is enormous and we are all here to help you.

Really look forward to seeing you about the forums...

Thanks everyone for the welcoming messages, means far more than words can say I'm nervous and at the moment very happy that things are finally moving forwards.

Did have problems with my previous GP and after contacting Unity Identity Centre they helped me find another Doctors surgery that could help me rather than patronise me. For me that was a day from hell when I first approached my GP who did nothing but contradict everything I said, when I left her room I felt like dirt but finally moved on and feel that I am being taken seriously and with dignity in tact every time I come from my GP

But thank you all
