Well today Wendy finally had her day.

I've been to the doctors today and she has referred me to a gender clinic.

I was surprised how emotional I found it almost bursting into tears (something which I not currently being very successful at).

I carn't explain how I feel right now a mixture of elation and concern.

So we will see what happens now.

Congrats! A mix of elation and concern is not uncommon. Just try to discuss both aspects with the counsellor, and don't forget you can talk about it here too.

Congratulations on the elation part , I think most of us can definitely relate :-)
The concern , yup , that too ....
Its a heck of a ride. , but well worth it to be genuine :-)
Try to breath , and try to stay in the positive now , the journey is at your feet now , and those Gender Clinics are there to help you thrive , not fail .

Congratulations!  I called Kaiser for gender counseling back in late March -- and I started hormones on June 8!  I hope your path is as smooth as mine was.
