How long did it take you to be yourself.   This is one emotional roller coaster.   I know i want to transition I know It will take a long time.   When im on hrt i feel great but once it starts to wear off I feel bad. I feel like my old self.  I want to be the trans me not my old selff.   How long does it take to finally be you Years i assume.   Does the true you ever fade away and you become your old self.  I hate the mood swings.

Welcome aboard the HRT roller coaster.  Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times, and remain seated until you've come to a complete stop.

Yeah, the lights come on and we start getting brighter, better days or hours as our biology starts to shift.  I had my first really good days about 11 days in, as T levels started down. About a month in I was having more good days than bad, and now past three months, good days are the new normal.

It takes time, but it is so worth it.  The calmness and physical changes are remarkably comforting as we move along the path to align our physical presence with our identity.

Patience is needed, though.  Even when down, it is worth remembering that you are moving forward, that there is hope, and you are changing.  Every day, good or bad, you progress towards becoming your future true self.
Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

If the estrogen up&down bothers you, ask your doctor about stickers (patches).  They give a very even output throughout the week.  They are a bit more expensive though...

If its the anti-androgen side; for effective ones, there's cheap with short half life, and there's extremely expensive injection depots that can last up to 6 months of even smoothness; and not much in between.   In the middle are some gimpy combinations.

Patches have proved to be fantastic for me.
