If you got or plan to get an orchi, do you also want to remove your scrotum?

If you got or plan to get an orchiectomy, do you also want to remove your scrotum?

Frankly, I apologize if I am being excessively nosy here; however, I am simply curious as to how frequently trans* people who get an orchiecomy also simultaneously get their scrotum removed.

Anyway, any thoughts on this?

Do you mean wanting it in order to use it for SRS? Or simply wanting it because you like it?

SRS would be the only reason to keep it.. It's simply a useless flap of skin otherwise.

I totally second Kelly on that even though I'm not planning to have full GRS I would still keep it... You never know when it comes in handy...

I kept mine, but I wish it was gone.  It's not bad in winter when it's cold and the skin naturally stays snug, but in the summer that empty flap of skin looks pretty stupid in my opinion.  I thought it would shrink up over time like it seems to do on most animals, but that hasn't happened.

I believe if there's any chance you might have SRS later it'd be best to keep it, since the scrotal tissue is normally used to construct the labia (and they're the "equivalents" when comparing anatomy between the genders). Without a scrotum other tissue would have to be fashioned for the purpose, and the results will likely not be as good.
