Catholic groups are suing the Obama administration over trans protection laws

http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2016/12/30/catholic-groups-are-suing-the-obama-administration-over-trans-protection-laws/

Pink News/By Meka Beresford 30th December 2016, 9:14 AM

"A slew of Catholic organisations are set to sue the Obama administration over a federal law which protects the transgender community from discrimination.
The group say the law will force Catholic hospitals and doctors to perform gender reassignment services, which is against their faith. "

Uh, yeah, because we all really, really want to get surgery from a doctor with no experience, who doesn't particularly want to do it anyway, and recover in a facility that officially thinks we should not exist.

Or not.

Why does organized religion get itself so worked up about things that just don't happen in the real world?

Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

So true!

The comments were the usual disgusting claptrap.

If the USA ever develops a normal civilisation you may end up with a health care system that looks after one thing.

Health.

Maybe it's the result of watching too many Godfather movies, but I have a peculiar tendency to equate politics, organized religion and organized crime all into the same box
The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

Have some empathy!  They just want to Make America Great Again.

It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.
André Gide, Autumn Leaves
Love is not obedience, conformity, or submission. It is a counterfeit love that is contingent upon authority, punishment, or reward. True love is respect and admiration, compassion and kindness, freely given by a healthy, unafraid human being....  - Dan Barker
