Decided to attempt painting my nails finally while at home. It turned out pretty terrible lol, it was quite a mess but I still felt really happy. I'll just have to keep practicing.

One of the fun things  ;D...cheap and feels great...good on you. Nice nails improve the overall shape of your hands immensely

It feels too good not to do it for work, but I'm not out yet there. So, a light pink to match my skin tone topped with a clear matte to dull the shine. It looks good, I feel good, and no one can tell!

Good for you!  My wife and I started going for monthly mani/pedis.  It's such a nice way to take care of yourself.  If you can do your toes, you might get away with a little more color!

I know!  I found an Essie shade that's perfect for me.  I've never tried the matte finish, I guess people are used to my wearing clear polish now.

What fun! It is such a charge when a genetic girl/woman notices and comments on how nice you nails look!
Keep practicing, it gets getter every time.
I had a lot of coaching from my big Sister, so I recommend you get assistance from someone skilled. It is great fun to paint each other. Don't forget your toes, they look so much better in sandals when colored.

My mother flipped her LID the first time I painted my nails. She tried to have my father forbid me from ever doing it again.. Strangely enough he allowed it, but he forced me to 'never take it any further or Id be out of his house.' (Naturally I disobeyed as much as I could.)

Toes are next! And my daughter left us all her colors when she moved. Decisions, hmm.

I've been painting my nails since high school (1972). I'm still sometimes sloppy. But I found that after the polish dries you can just wash your hands in warm water and it comes right off the skin! [emoji6]

I also do a lousy job on my nails, so I've been going for regular manicures and pedicures for almost 12 years now.
I'm a 65 year old male who has been thinking about SRS for many years.  I also was a  full cross dresser for a few years.  I wear a bra, pantyhose and nail polish daily because it just feels right.

Started HRT April 17, 2019.

I also painted my nails yesterday. Looked like I used a brush from a hardware store. It still made me feel better about myself. I watched a few YouTube videos and I will try again today. Hopefully with a better finish this time.
