I personally FELT better on injections vs oral but had poor breast development as my breasts shrank. I noticed I also experienced some highs and lows. I'm starting to think I'm metabolizing the hormones too fast and levels are dropping too quickly so that I've shortened injection frequency to 3-4 days.
Typical symptoms to watch for, at least as far as my experience goes, to determine if one's estrogen levels are too low:
- fatigue
- anxiety
- tense muscles
- dry skin
- brain fog, feeling a little out of it and trouble concentrating
- headaches
- no appetite
Within 30 minutes to an hour of an injection, things improve markedly. Mood is back up, fatigue gone, an increase in appetite and skin is better. Studies have shown that with estradiol valerate injected intramuscularly, levels can indeed drop quite rapidly and increase very fast, within an hour of the injection, up to 18 times the basal levels.
Hope things go well for you.
