Does anyone know any options for making top surgery cheaper? Such as certain health insurance plans? Only thing I'm ruling out is going to somewhere overseas.

Hey mate,

I'm looking into this myself at the moment. Having private insurance is a good start. The next important thing is if your surgeon is affiliated with particular hospitals or day surgery centres that are on your health insurance books, because that will lower the cost of the day surgery or the hospital stay if you need to stay over night.

So far, after insurance, the out of pocket cost I"ve seen is around $6000 ( not exactly chicken feed cost either).

I'm in Brisbane, and that cost is based on a guy who had it last year, check out his top surgery costs here https://windowintomymind.tumblr.com/tagged/reese-has-top-surgery

Hope this helps.

Thanks, that definitely gives me more of an idea of what I'm looking at. Will have to start asking around more about private health insurance.

I'm in the ACT so looking at either Sydney or Melbourne.
