SRS after urethral reroute?

Does anyone know if having a urethral reroute done would cause any problems with having SRS done later? I found a doctor who will do a urethral reroute (and orchi) without requiring therapist/psychologist letters, so it can be done relatively soon, only issue is I only want to do it if it won't cause problems with SRS later. I'm not sure why it would be a problem but they're probably used to having everything a certain way when you come in, which is why I'm worried. I'm having difficulty finding information on this. Does anyone have any experience with this situation?

Doesn't that include a penectomy? Without that, your only option is a bowel resection for a vagina and you wouldn't have the glans for the clitoris.

Though it is often performed before a full penectomy, no. The urethral reroute only involves cutting a small hole in your perineum (taint) which becomes your new pee hole. The penis isn't otherwise effected by the operation.

Something like this is done during the course of the SRS operation itself, my question is if doing it beforehand would cause problems when they're trying to go all the way afterward.

Ok. That makes sense. I've read others hear that had reroute with penectomy and just thought that went hand in hand. I didn't know they do it with just an orchiectomy. I would think that would work well for some of us.

I wouldn't do it. You can almost certainly get srs anyway if you look into it further.

I am wanting a reroute myself, but I can't find a doctor that will do it without a therapist.

Can you tell us which doctor is willing to do it without a therapist?

Or in a PM?
