I kind of want to see if i would make for a good looking girl in the future for when i transition from the experts here at Susan's (LOL...) but i'm a little apprehensive about putting a pre-transition picture up. I just tend to assume that people might say i'm too ugly or something, i don't know. 😮

I'm of the opinion that showing oneself in male mode to someone is not a good idea if you plan to transition to female and it matters to you how that person will relate to you in the future.  It may not to true for others, but I have a very visually oriented brain.  Once an image is imprinted on my brain, it's there forever, along with possibly unwanted associations.  I will sometimes unintentionally miss-gender someone if I've seen their male likeness in the past.  It's so annoying and embarrassing.  It's not a matter of how pretty or ugly you look, either.

Maybe, are you a transgender yourself Zquence? I'm extremely self conscious about how i look. Honestly but i'm not in a big bulky male body or a fat male body, thank god although transitioning and surgery is so awesome nowadays that it really wouldn't matter if i was in that kind of body. I'm just overweight to some degree, like about 20 or 30 pounds but i can lose the weight with exercise. I'm not transitioning for just looks though, i want to experience life as the real woman i am and have people quit getting my gender wrong just because of that grand deception that i was assigned male at birth due to limited ways of knowing if someone is a trans or not back when i was born. I do want to look fairly attractive. I think the vast majority of trans women do as most cis women also want to look attractive and appealing.

Ah Clara, well girl, you made me really not want to put a picture up then. I want to show some people but i'll do it privately. I can't afford people getting my gender wrong, it will seriously hurt me especially after i go through transitioning. When i live in a brand new body that holds true to my old and true self, then if someone were to still deem me as what my old body presented, well then it would make transitioning utterly pointless and on top of that it will hurt me to the point that i wouldn't be experience life the way i should and want to.

I've got a feminine face and hair, but you'd still say male, or at least male mode as you put it...i dont fault you for that. I completely understand. 🙂

I have just long hair too but feminine qualities to my face and my facial structure, my face is not narrow or crooked, its pretty round and cute looking but not overly fat or big. Anyways i wish i could have been born normally or cis like most people even though we are naturally born transgender, it has put me in a lot of distress and pain though i am happy about it at the same time for really being a female rather than just another ordinary joe shmoe. Having gender dysphoria sucks though as well as the numerous other things which could be medical and some science reasons behind us being transgender that we wont know until we get examined and get stuff done like on the road to recovery in our long journey as trans people...therapy, transitioning, ect.

I'm also 5'11 feet tall Zquence, so not far from you. I know CIS women who are over 6 feet tall so dont let that discourage you.

What you're taller than me by an inch or more. Do you folks have cis-female friends that wear shoe size 11? Cause that's my shoe size for women and it makes me uncomfortable about how much larger my feet are by as much as 3 inches.

Your height and shoe size doesnt matter for transitioning, dont let that discourage you. It's what you want your outward appearance to match up with what you really are inside, not the other way around.

I don't even know my own shoe size I am scared to look, I still like mens sizes I have a 26 inch waist I am a 26 well 28 can't find 26es woman sizes still confuse me what scale do they use.

Hmm, be confident, and show your pre transition picture! Dont be afraid!

So I'd suggest just go for it and put it out here x

I think that it always helps to put a face with a name. A lot of us may be too fearful to do so. Which is understandable.
