The union where I work is set to vote on changing health insurance carriers from Blue Cross Blue Shield to Independent Health.

Has anyone here had experience with Independent Health and covering medications?

Their formulary lists the usual suspects (Oral Estradiol, Oral micronized Progesterone and Spironolactone, and Bicalutamide), but I see nothing listed for Estradiol Valerate injectables.

Of course my current provider (Blue Cross Blue Shield) doesn't list EV in their formulary either, but they have so far covered both the (Perrigo) generic version and the brand name (Delestrogen) since there seems to be a shortage on the former.
