The 'suspicious' tooth appears to have a small void space underneath, which is usually a sign of infection. They recommended a redo of the root canal, and another new crown. Unfortunately, the dentist I really like doesn't accept my insurance. I'll probably still see her for routine treatments, but I'll try to find an endodontist that accepts my insurance for the root canal and crown work.
I had a rough night on Thursday. I'm not sure if it was a stomach bug or food poisoning, but around 12:30am Friday morning my stomach started complaining. I took some 'Gas-X', which usually takes care of things. About 15 minutes later, I was in the bathroom. The next three hours included shivering chills, feverish sweating, and the simultaneous discharge of fluids from geographically separate locations. Susan scrambled an egg for my breakfast. A few hours later I was able to get out of bed. I lost three pounds overnight. I was very weak all day Friday, but by Saturday morning I was feeling much better.
Susan and I are continuing to unpack and get our house set up. We finally found Susan's computer monitor, in a wardrobe box marked 'tools'. The movers even packed some rocks which had been in our garage, and we had specifically told the movers not to pack them. I've also had to struggle with boxes stacked over 6ft high. One was so heavy that pulling it off the stack was basically a controlled crash landing. If I have room to use a step stool on the stacked boxes too heavy to move, I'll open them in place and hand the items down to Susan. We still don't know where to put everything.
We had a hawk hit one of our windows last week. It was a bit bewildered for a few hours, but it eventually flew away. At one point it seemed to take interest in a hummingbird at our feeder.
Love always -- Jessica Rose
