Bonsai

It is really time for me to step fully out of the shadows and come clean.  For years, male me had a YouTube series on growing bonsai, and quite a following.

Now the estrogen is pushing my creativity and sensitivity to new heights, and I can't stand not sharing, so here I am and hopefully this thread will become a place to showcase a few trees.

For starters, here's an old juniper that my wife and I brought into the kitchen just to clean, re wire and prep for show season.

Last year this was one of the first trees I did major work on under the influence of estrogen.

This is a hundred year old Hollywood juniper.  Here it is back on the bench after some recent detail work.

awesome. I always loved good bonsai work. I read up on it once, I decided that I don't have the patience. I just have to enjoy the fruits of other people's labor of love.

Years ago I read a couple of books on Bonsai. It occurred to me that it would make a great retirement hobby-- if you start when you're still in high school. Many of the coolest ones take decades to grow. Your's looks nice, though.
