Beverly Anne

Hello, new friends! I'm an AMaB, MtF in MD-supervised medical transition. I'm out and confidently living full-time as the woman I've always been. I obtained a court-ordered legal name change, and my gender marker with the SSA and on my driver's license is female. This was a huge source of dysphoria and disconnect for me. Jumping this hurdle was psychologically more fulfilling than beginning transition.

My cis-F spouse passed away last March, I have no children, and I live alone with my fur baby best friend. I'm active in the community and the LGBTQ+ inclusive church I attend. I'm attending school to prepare for a second career in nursing, after a successful career in public relations. I'm currently looking for a part-time job. Over the past nine months, I lost my job, my Dad, my spouse, and disclosed my gender to everyone.

The biggest issue for me at the moment is finding a new partner. I'm a strong, independent person, and I never thought I would become lonely, but I have. Those of you who have dated after transition or are currently dating understand what a challenge this can be. I just began online dating at the suggestion of my therapist. This is the area of life where I need the most support from members of this forum.

I'm happy to share my journey and offer my experience to those still questioning or going through the trials and tribulations of being transgender. I live in the Charlotte, NC metropolitan area.
Be authentic and live life unafraid!

Oh Im so sorry, I wish there was more that can be said or done but you seem to have a strong handle on everything. My best friend (one of the people who are helping me transition) went through similar events losing both of her parents within a year of each other and finally deciding to come out about being transgender. Thats actually one of the big reasons I started this leg of my journey that and Im tired of feeling depressed about this. If you ever need someone to rant to Im use to being a shoulder and hope you can stay positive, dating is hard.

Stay Positive thats what we all need.
