I've been trying to find a therapist in or around Athens or Atlanta, Ga. I have been searching for months! It seems like no one in Georgia is willing to help a transgender person along their path. Not where I live anyway. Please someone help me, i feel like I'm going insane I just want to start HRT so I can get moving with what I have to do. Does anyone know where I can find a therapist that specialises in trans treatment?

I understand your pain. I had to look online.  I found the Psychology Today website to be a great resource. That's where I found my therapist. Just Google "Psychology Today". You can search by city or zip code. Hope this helps!

Edit:
I just looked and there are many to choose from in both Athens and Atlanta! After you search the city, click on the filter and select the issues and click on transgender. Good luck!

Welcome to Susan's Place. The term you would be looking for is "Gender Therapist". If you do a search for "LGBT Atlanta"  you may turn up a LGBT center and they may be able to refer you who has treated others in the community.

Hello Lana
If there ever there was a place on the earth to provide the answers you seek you are already here.
I do not have the specific information for your area but I just wanted to let you know there's no reason for anxiety I absolutely guarantee you that if you don't find a gender therapist in your area someone here Will.
I also felt pretty alone to get treatment because I live in the middle of nowheres ville in the forest of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
if I found treatment here there is no doubt in my mind that you will find it in your area that is far more populated than mine.

all the best for your future, love Tatiana
