I will let you know how it feels to sleep in my own bed in just under to weeks when I  am back in Oregon.

Glad you ladies made it home safely. Thank you for sharing the highlights of your trip and photos with us. Do you know how many miles you drove? You covered a good deal of ground according to the tracker map Stephanie created for us.

Hugs,
Jayne

Based on Steph's map tracking (iStalker) plus local driving I'm guessing a bit under 4k miles (6k km).

100 gallons (400 litres) in a Toyota Prius or 250 gallons (1k litres) in a full size Chevrolet lorry.  Fuel savings from hybrid car is more than 2 nights El Tovar Lodge in Grand Canyon.  Sorry Laurie I know you're attached to your truck, I'll shut up with the math now.   ;)

Pretty good guess.  I logged 4,490 miles, and 80.36 gallons of gas used.

The savings definitely covered the room and meals at El Tovar.   And, we got to stretch out in a full size bed!

Besides, how else could we have experienced the joy Laurie had at managing to get the Prius onto a dirt road?

A classic!  I am afraid I had visions of that happening on some of the roads she waxed enthusiastic over.  That or getting a rock punched through the big traction battery.

I don't think that car was even on a road. I looks more like a dry river bottom. I saw some boats in the Bay of Fundy that could give the car lessons. Of course they weren't going anywhere either.

That definitely is a unhealthy looking car! It appears to be between a rock and a hard spot.
