This is really useful advice. I'm not shy about outting myself because it doesn't bother me for people to know my history. Also, as an academic, it's impossible to hide professionally. As I mentioned before, it seems to surprise people when I reference the fact that I'm trans...

But it also means they can't hurt you by noting it. It defangs a lot of good-natured but otherwise potentially sensitive situations, like when I get laser hair removal.

One day they woke me up; so I could live forever.
