Separate procedure for rhinoplasty?

Hey all,

I was wondering how happy people who have had FFS have been with the rhinoplasty part of their procedures. I have seen lots of results, and quite frankly I've been underwhelmed the most by the nose jobs of the FFS specialists. And there are lots of rhinoplasty specialists who actually do good nose jobs.

Soooo...I was wondering if it's a good idea to consider a separate rhinoplasty procedure, especially because my nose is probably the biggest thing I worry about. Or would FFS surgeons think that separate procedures are a bad idea because you're aiming for a complete aesthetic?

Would love your thoughts.

Im booked in for a rhinoplasty, brow shave and hairline advance all at the same time in the next few months.
The surgeon Ive chosen did inform me that many Trans women start with just the nose and go from there as the nose is a focal point of the face.

I feel alot of good FFS surgeons are cautious... As there is only so much one can do before making the whole look very unnatural. If someone wants that look that's fine, however given a FFS surgeons goal is to make you look more female, they will often do little changes that will make a big difference to how you are read. Im not expecting to look super female after surgery rather I will look androgynous... Which is a good realistic place for me given I'm not on hormones and despite not training my upper body much for a long while am still a leanish 160 at only 5ft 5....

A Generalist nose specialist may do a good job on a MTF nose however it's not their bread and butter so I would choose the specialist. Sometimes you get what you need rather then want... Ie a subtle change that is natural may not be as great as we would like however it will change how we are seen and reduce our dysphoria and allow us to feel more confident in ourselves.
Sure I would love to look like Megan Fox at 40 however given my current structure to look very naturally androgynous will be a good outcome.

Hope this helps
