I've been on HRT for about 3 and a half months. I'm 19, and it's starting to feel like not a lot has changed. I know it's only been 3 months, but still. I was super confident recently, and actually feel like I have a few pictures of me where I maybe-sorta pass, lately I haven't been feeling that. I'm still a boy. I still look like a boy. It's frustrating when someone 'sir's me and I have breasts, am wearing makeup, have super cute hair and that still happens. It's frustrating.

There are days, even quite often, when I can look in the mirror and be happy, and see my feminine aspects, but I don't know. Now, it just feels like I'm not doing too hot. I'm sure some of you are going to tell me I pass, but I don't see it. Others don't see it. I hate this.

I'm sorry for complaining but I had to get it out.

I feel you. It's an awful stage, I'm out of it thankfully but didn't enjoy it either.

I bet after 12 months total HRT the scenario will be quite different. You are so lucky at 19. I'm 49 and HRT is working but not as good as it is for you.

I would put money on you passing very soon.

Kind regards, Kirsten.

Hit six months plus it gets a lot easier. That in between bit is no fun but we all have to go through it.
Every day is a totally awesome day
Every day provides opportunities and challenges
Every challenge leads to an opportunity
Every fear faced leads to one more strength
Every strength leads to greater success
Success leads to self esteem
Self Esteem leads to happiness.
Cherish every day.

You got this. I'm not just saying that. I think the components you mentioned with hair, makeup, bra and clothes are going to help.  But keep taking hrt and your body and hormones will align closer to female. 3 months is just the very start, but you'll get there.
