Stottie Girl

Sort of drum & bass hybrid there with house @Charlotte Kitty. When I was into it it was more like this:-

Oh that's nice. I remember that kinda stuff too. Thats definitely the more chill side compared to some of the darkness I love. There was a lot of alternative slower stuff on Reinforced Records. That was a great label.

@Charlotte Kitty Are you old enough to remember this daft banger? Maybe not, it was 1990 (god I'm old!). Was one of the first pure electronica dance hits I can remember. It's up there with Mars - Pump up the Volume as tracks that started my love afair of all things electronica.

Don't remember this exact track but certainly remember stuff from early 90s. It's a great track as expected from Warp records. I think LFO - LFO  is on the same label and similar era.

I was never a big fan of this song until I started hrt. I heard it on the radio one day and cried when I heard the pain in the lyrics.

I had a similar experience with Billy Idol. I was never a fan. Listened to some of his hits on the radio, but never paid any attention.

Then one day, I heard "Eyes Without a Face," and I was blown away by the sound of his voice. I could not believe that was Billy Idol. I started listening more carefully to his music, and I still love his voice. I hate the goofy thing he does with his lips, but his vocal range amazes me.

Oh remember that. I so used to fancy Neneh Cherry! Liked her track "manchild" too.
She was very instrumental to the formation of Massive Attack who used to be in "The wild bunch". She even worked on their debut album Blue Lines.

yeah, that's her, but her later stuff was quite good though.

It wasn't my kind of music  I do go all over the board but the electronic sound plays hell with my tinnitus
