Just curious what everyone's reasoning was behind choosing their surgeon. Thanks for sharing!

Dr Loren Schechter
* was recommended by my therapist and GP
* Did one of my mentor's GCS
* His original speciality was with burn patients and he's really good with soft tissues
* Wait time is reasonable (about a year now which is good considering he requires electrolysis)

But the two most important factors are
* He took my insurance
* He's local.  <-- this was very important to me.

My results are, wow.  My physical therapist (both of them) think I look cis-like and can't tell the difference. I've had no issues!

Thanks for sharing! It sounds like we're both from the Chicago area. I've heard both very good and very bad stories about Schecter. Can I PM you with some more questions about your experience?
