I finally commited to see a transgender specialist to start primary care + consultation for hormones. I was so nervous and anxious that when the doctor asked if I had any questions I just froze up like a blue screen on the computer and just said no. (Then did a 40 yard dash out of the office to save $20 from the parking garage [ gotta love nyc  ::) ]) I'm actually still a bit in shock of how simple it was to get the prescription and go through the visit

Anyways, when is the best time of day to take my estrogen + spiro?

I currently take my multi vitamins and finesteride in the evening cause I know during the sleep cycle is when your body does most of its rebuilding of cells, etc. But I do remember from endocrine classes in nursing school that hormone cycles/phases are typically during the day. Just wanted confirmation/suggestions if possible plez (couldn't find anything relevant when searching forum)  thanks!

Not sure what form you received for HRT, I take estradiol in pill form, when I first started I was on a very low dose and built up the dose as I progressed. As the dose got higher I started splitting the dose to morning and evening to try and even out the highs and lows.
At one point I was on very high doses so I split it morning, lunch time and then evening.
Now I that I have had an orchiectomy my doses were lowered some so I again split it morning and evening.

I was given  estradiol daily and Spiro (bottle says daily but quantity is for 60 pills for one month )

When your doctor tells you to. The dosing instructions will be right on the prescription.

I'm on a relatively low dose taken sublingually, and split it day and night. My partner is on a relatively high dose taken by swallowing, and it's all taken in the morning. HRT is tailored to the individual.

I use patches for estradiol, so I am always taking it.  When I was on spiro, I took it in the morning to minimize the number of trips to the bathroom at night.  It didn't help much in that regard.  Now, I am on cypro, and it can make you drowsy, so I was told to take it at night.

I am on E Patches and as I have to change twice a week, I change every 84 hours meaning one of my weekly changes is morning and the other is evening.

I take my Finasteride and Progesterone just before bedtime.

Hugs
