Best of luck with your neurosurgeon visit and with the many decisions ahead of you. I know you'll do what's best. It seems that choosing to take care of your parents (if you're able) could be a good choice, one you can be proud of in the years to come, despite the inconvenience and cost. It certainly "sweetens" the deal to have your Toothfairy make the move with you!

I have been in Seattle for my appointments with my Neurosurgeon doctor to discuss possible new surgeries for my back.  Yesterday I met with him and also my endocrinologist.  I gave the many vials of blood and today I am going back to the hospital for another MRI, a Catscan and other x- rays.  I should get the results tomorrow before I head back home.

Update 10:00am here:
Early morning hospital visit.  Followup MRI, Catscan and other X-Rays.

Met with my Endocrinologist to review my blood labs... all is
in order with no changes in prescription and no red flags or health alerts.

I then met with my Neurosurgeon to review my "back/spine issues... no changes
from previous scans so unfortunately there are no new plans for surgery.
Fortunately the pain can be somewhat controlled with physical therapy and
targeted exercises.  I am very disappointed that there is not a long term
and lasting fix.

I will be soon be heading to the Seattle airport for a flight back home
and I will write more once I get home this afternoon.

HUGS, Danielle

I'm sorry to hear that Danielle.

I have moderate back pain from working as a heating engineer which is bad enough but it sounds like you're really sufferering there. My mum had back trouble all her life so I've seen first hand how wearing the pain can be.

Oddly as my mum got older the back improved as the flexibilty reduced. (she used to suffer with slipped discs).  I hope you won't have to wait that long!

Glad to hear the labs were all good.

Sorry about the back issues. I know that pain too well. I hope you are able to get some relief.

Back problems are abound.  I heard some people have CSF leaks that can make it worse, herniated discs, etc.  Some try back ablation.  Many try lots and get no long term relief.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Sunday morning:  6:50am    19 deg(F)    minus  -7.5 deg(C)  crisp and clear.

I arrived back home late last night... The Seattle to Anchorage flight was on time, but
the "puddle jumper" flight from Anchorage to my home town was very late.

I am up and showered, fixing hair, nails and makeup...
....and soon on my way to morning church.

As usual, after church I will be going to lunch with a few of my church gal friends.

HUGS, Danielle
