Its okay at the moment, just lost a layer of skin and its a bit red and sore. Shopping day again, looked at calendar and only a week left of this month. Where did that go?
 Cloudy and breezy this morning, sunny and 22C later they say so what to wear?

Still breezy and cloudy!! Aunty and Uncle went to get their feet done this morning so were late to the supermarket. Great I had done mine and bumped into them as I left so we had a chat catch up. Got a pork joint to make a pork and mushroom curry with enough left to make a Vindaloo after cutting it all up into cubes, cooked the rind in the air fryer and have crunchy scratchings!
 Not with it today, woke up tired and brain not in gear-----------

Just got back from the workshop and no parking spaces in the flat's car park, some random Suzuki where I normally park. Spoke to lady in flat 4 as she came in same time as me and she said her daughter has had to park in the street when she comes home after working late due to no spaces. Phone call made to letting agents and I said it not only me thats getting cross about this and told them about flat 4 and the fact flat 6 will have nowhere to park later. I think some thing will happen this time as the person I spoke to said its not right and she will see about it.
 Managed to do a bit today, swept the floor now its dry and tided up. Top section of grill fitted, just needs 2 bits "chroming" now.

Turns out it was someone visiting flat8, I banged on my window and opened it and shouted at them before I saw Kier with her. When he came back in he knocked on my door and said I said oh no you parked in Davina's spot. Ran down and moved it before anyone else parks there. He agrees with me for numbers to go up , If I did a petition I think at least7 out of 9 flats would sign it.
  Good thunder storm at the moment, I could see some lightning. D just rang me and said the garage is flooded worse than he has ever seen it, pump was on and he thinks he has 6ins gone in his bit. Mine is up the bank but it will have gone in so good job I moved stuff. 2 hrs of heavy rain and hardly any here, he said houses flooded in Ledbury the other side of the hills.

More rain today, no point in going to the workshop till its dried out. Have some fresh figs so will attempt to make a fig tart when I find an easy recipe, also have a cauliflower that needs cooking as its been in the fridge for 2 weeks! Had a fry up for breakfast, bacon ,sausage , mushrooms and scrambled egg, bacon and sausage cooked in air fryer so the fat runs off and mushrooms cooked in olive oil with the eggs done in the same pan after. About as healthy as a fry up can be.

The round thing under the hood is not a pizza !!! Well watching drag racing from Santa  Pod but they had a thunder storm and are frantically trying to dry the track, shame as its the championship finals with a lot of classes very close to who wins.  Forecast for tomorrow is a wash out---------

It was lashing it down when I got up so gave up going out, of course its now been dry for the last few hours.
Drag racing got cancelled as well. Did some bacon, mushroom and tomato pasta for lunch. Quick and tasty, that used the mushrooms up while they were still fresh.
 Grand Prix later, will they all keep away from the barrier? Road circuits are always tricky.

Someone left the tap running, sky leaking again with red warning for downpour. Bored already and its only 10.20! Cooking a Vindaloo in a bit, have to soak the pork in vinegar first.
 Off to Nicks tomorrow to sort the electrics for the hot rod T, need to work out what bits we need.

Head is full of wiring! Spent the day at Nicks sorting out the wiring kit he got as well as the modules that control the water pump and fan etc. Back next week when he has made a few bits and then I can make a start on fitting it all. Off to see Brian this morning to fit a correct radio in his 64 Comet, hope thats a quick one as it was 5.30 when I got back yesterday. Nice but cool morning but storm coming in again later.
  Autumn is here, had to put my nighty on last night and fleece blanket on bed.

Managed to get the wiring out of my head and onto paper, have to go back and do some more to Brian's Comet as something screwy going on with dash wiring from the extra gauges. Next week for that one some time and back on the T as well one day.
 Thurs food shop, what to get for batch cook dinner?? Might do that "mums chicken curry" from one of my books as it uses legs and thighs. Made an apple and blackberry pie last night in the air fryer, came out okay but needed sugar in the filling. 20 mins to make pastry ,chop apples (cooked them for 3mins in micro) and 20 mins to cook. Nice with a dollop of yogurt.

Spent more than I wanted at the supermarket but they had packs of minced lamb and cubed lamb, not something they have often so got 2 packs of each. There was also some reduced price burgers and breaded fish, freezer full now! Chicken curry on the go ,looks good.

I have to stop reading your blog before dinner Davina.  We're doing roast chicken tonight and it might turn out to be a wine night too!

Chicken turned out nice, have enough to make 4 more dinners. Also made some chapati to eat it with, quick and easy. Just add water to the flour and knead  for a bit then roll out thin, hot dry pan and cook.
 Off down the workshop now, more rain and wind overnight but I slept through it so only know from local radio this morning. Its the Autumn Show at the local show ground so traffic will be bad, good job I am going the other way. They reported on the giant veg, they had to get a crane in to lift the biggest pumpkin!!!

Well the water ingress into my workshop did no damage, D said it was a good inch. He has got a high volume pump to shift the water for next time. Sorted some boxes of Austin build parts and did a shelf tidy up. Turned out nice and sunny and should be okay tomorrow. Plonker from flat 3 parked in my space again, grrrr.

People tease me because I have "MY spot" even though parking does not have assigned spaces. Some have even teasingly called me "Sheldon".
