Not the best camera angle TBH. 30C in my flat so closing the curtains worked, sun has come around now and can see keys without a lamp! East facing windows in my flat.

Charity shop find, some good bargains can be found if you look. I found a brand new M&S dress for £5.

Slept okay despite the heat, cool breeze this morning but its still 30C in my living  room. Ended up with a wet cloth on my forehead yesterday and that helped ,quick cool shower before bed. Not sure what I will be doing today as they say it could be up to 34C here, staying in anyway.

It was 28C where I was yesterday. Not fun when you're stuck in a sunroom trying to fix the door! It felt like 40-42C in there. I'm hoping for a bit cooler today as I have so much to do. I am currently having to change clothes 4 times a day because of the sweat! Sweaty betty!

Its not quite 10am and I am bored already being "stuck in". Still some more parts turning up today so will brave the heat tomorrow and fit them.

Davina, you look lovely!!!  What a great smile.

Being able to wear a dress in miserable is such a plus too.

I loved the photos of you car restoration. Very cool and very impressive.

News of your record heat have reached here. Perhaps its time to get a window ac unit. Here in the states, most small ones are less than $200. A small price for a good night sleep. I have even seen air conditioned auto shops. The owners say they, get so much more work done without fighting the heat.

But we dont get small AC units here, well cheap ones. Might change if this is the norm.

Yeah The only ones I've seen (other than the portable ones) have a great big air handling unit on the outside. I can imagine that being a source of noise for neighbours so maybe not ideal. It's getting tempting though as these hot summers become more regular.

Can verify... they don't sell window air conditioners here. You can pick up the portable ones that use a dryer hose to vent the unit out a window, but that's about it unless you want a heat pump with mini splits.

I'm constantly talking to my wife about just grabbing one off the shelf at Walmart. I usually wax eloquently about it, like I visited Narnia and heaven on the same day. 😂

And if they did they would ban them for net zero!  32c in my flat and getting hotter at 4.45. lets hope its a bit cooler tomorrow, might be some showers or thunder later.
